Going to the amusement park the efteling! :D

Good evening guys!
So I just uploaded a new vlog about where I went on October 23 2013.
I have always hated roller coasters and always am the one waiting somewhere on a bench while others go in the roller coasters however, in this vlog I finally overcame my fears!
At first I was super scared but as the day went by and I kept going in the different roller coasters my fear got less!
I still don't wanna go in the ones that make looping's but im still very proud of myself! Because its a big deal for me and now I hope next time I go to an amusement park it will be a bit easier for me to go in a roller coaster and keeps my friends happy :P

How to pack for a winter theme park!

Back to school!

Hey guys!
Some of you might know next week its time for me to go back to school again.
I have about 5 courses to follow this semester and I hope I will pass them all.
For this reason I have made a video where I show you what I put in my bag which I usually bring to school and some extra supplies that I might need for projects.

update blog!

Hey everybody,
You may have noticed that I haven’t uploaded any blogs in quite some time. So here is a little explanation for that.
Over the last almost 4 weeks I have been on a holiday, first I didn’t plan any holiday at all only that my cousin would be coming over from the united states for 2 weeks but as the summer came closer I ended up booking a short vacation with friends from work to morocco. This trip was about 4 days, it was pretty short but we filled up each day so much that it looked like we were there for more than a week.  
Then my cousin arrived and we had loads of fun and we did many touristic things so she could see all the different sides of the Netherlands. She enjoyed this a lot and because the last time she was here was many years ago she couldn’t remember that much anymore but we made sure she went home with loads of new memories and that she met more of her Dutch family here aswell J
After those weeks I had one more week vacation with my church, in the summer we usually go to a castle in the other side of the country were we just have fun the whole week and talk about stuff related to church aswell so that was a lot of fun but I started feeling sick at the beginning of the week and have been sick ever since.
This is also the reason why I wasn’t able to write any blog or upload vlogs because I have been sleeping a lot and was just feeling too sick to work on anything. Yesterday I went to get my blood tested and next week I will get a result so I will just have to wait for that and hope they find something so I can get medicine for it and can get better again.
Also over the past few weeks my pc has been dealing with some bugs and I had to do a big reset on it. Fortunately I was able to save a lot of my stuff but still lost some things and my pc doesn’t work as good as it used to.
Well this is the end of my small update blog and hope to write something new soon again J

3 minutes make-up challenge!

Hey guys!
So today i did the 3 minute make-up challenge! I know i make weird faces when I put make up on but to see it on film is even worse hahaha.
I did manage to put on all my basic make-up and who knows i might get better in the future so that i can get faster and get more make-up on in 3 minutes XD
I might actually do this challenge in a few months again and look if there is any progress haha.

Getting shots for my vacation!

Hey!
Recently I booked my vacation to Morocco and im going there with a couple of friends from work in a few weeks so I am really looking forward to that!
However I had to go take shots which I don't like at all I can be quite afraid of needles and so i went together with one of my friends. So we ended up both being scared for the shots but in the end it didn't hurt that much as expected when we actually got our shots.
Not realizing that the worse feeling would come a few hours later hahaha.
So later in the day the soreness and pain in my muscles slowly became worse and worse so i couldn't drive the car to work so asked a friend to pick me up and bring me cause she lives close and also worked that night so that was nice.
So even tho it wasn't that bad at the moment the after pain wasn't that pleasant at all. Fortunately the next day the soreness was already dissapearing slowly so i was happy with that.

Exam week coming up!

Hey everybody!
So in about 1 and a half week my exams are coming up.
I have exams for about 8 classes so i really hope i can pass them all.
Here is a short list off the classes i have exams for:
- Trade corporate finance
- Financial planning & appraisals
- Marketing management 2
- Management & Organization 2
- Japanese
- Import
- Export
- Trade logistics and documentation
So these are all the exams i have to focus on and will have less free time to blog or to film for youtube so I hope people wont mind.

Does any of you also has tests or exams coming up? and what are your tips and tricks for studying?

Got some new shoes!

Hey guys so today i went shopping for a little bit and got these really cute new shoes!
Originally they where €40 but when i went to pay them the store people told me that i got a €10 discount! Which i was super happy about cause i have to safe up a lot of money for school next year.

My perfect imperfection tag!

And it think it is a nice way to review yourself and you might find some things about yourself that you might wanna change or focus more on like I wanna get more confident :)

Let's talk about change!

Hey guys!
So today I had a class about change and this made me think about how to really start changing, up till now whenever I tried to make changes I ended up stopping the process after a few days or just didn't really start at all.

Here is the thing, people don't like change. We have our daily routine with a certainty of a specific outcome, there might be some small differences on days but mainly its the same thing. When changing you are stepping out of your comfort zone, by doing this you will lose the certainty of a specific outcome which will feel uncomfortable to most people. When we look at the actual mind to heart/feeling rate with change it will show you that only 20 -40 percent has to do with the mind. The other 60-80 percent has to do with your heart/feelings. This also explains why it's hard to actually change when other people tell you to do so. For example when a doctor tells you to lower your sugar intake you might think I will try it. But the feeling I get when I eat sweets weights more than the doctor telling me to stop it. However, once I start considering all the disadvantages that might come with it, such as diabetes or gaining weight etc, the sad feeling of that will come with it. And once you are able to weigh the advantages of changing something over the disadvantages, you will be able to actually start changing. When you aren't convinced that the outcome of changes will be better for you, there is almost a 100% chance that you will fail at making the changes.
A good way to start making changes is follow this process:
- Evaluate your current situation,missions and goals
- See your problems and the things you might need to change
- Define new goals. (Write them down so that you can keep better track of them)
- Formulate a new strategy ( how are you planning to achieve your goals make a schedule for example if your planning to start losing weight or want to pass a specific exam)
- And implement the new strategies (try to set a specific date to start or start today, but don't say I will do it tomorrow because once you say that you will start pushing it forward each day)
Another big obstacle when wanting to change is the fear of negative aspects of the actual change. And like I said before the uncertainty in the lack of information about future events. 

To get a win win situation : bring people with the same goals together. This way you can support each other in the changing process and even learn some new tricks. Find friends in real life or on forums etc. to start changing with together. Whenever you have a day you don't feel like it anymore you can get support from that person and might get motivated again. This can be of good use in all kinds of changes for example when you want to get a healthier lifestyle or want to start focussing more on school. With the help of others you may even find new tricks that you would have never thought of by yourself. 

There are 2 types of changing processes:
1. Start changing everything at once. 
2. Slowly start with the changing process. 
For example losing weight and getting healthier might be the goal 
1. You start today with a long work out, no cookies or unhealthy food anymore, eat small portions today.(disadvantages: you might stop after 1 day or 2 days cause it's to much of a change all at once and can't keep up with it)
2. You start with slowly making your portions smaller each day, start with a small work out of only 15 min. The next day you will try and make it 20 min and try to eat some healthier snacks instead of all the cookies etc. ( people are more likely to keep up with this because your slowly getting used to it. Disadvantages might be that it will sometimes take longer to see results)
Everybody has their own way of making changes so the one that works the best for you is the one you should go with. 

There also is another model made by John Kotter which shows you the exact steps of change (this model focuses on company changes but, in my opinion, it can also be applied to your normal life): 
Step 1. Sense of urgency ( look what's going wrong now, come up with advantages of change and disadvantages when u don't change )
Step 2. Form Powerful coalition (start telling other people to get a bigger group of supporters )
Step 3. Create clear vision future outcomes ( outcome is unclear, people don't wanna change so try and look up the advantages that will be there when you will reach your goal for example get a better job if you pass all your exams and graduate)
Step 4. Communicate this vision
Step 5. Empower others to act according vision (remove barriers ) ( remove people who are against the change!! dont try to convince them, and put people in good positions who are willing to help you change)
Step 6. Celebrate visible short term success (be happy you reached your goals and you can for example give yourself a specific reward once you reached your goal) 
Step 7. Consolidate improvements 
Step 8. Support the 'new behavior' (don't go back to your old behavior) 

Lastly here is my own plan for change.

I am currently working on becoming more healthier and lose some weight in the progress as well and this is how I'm doing it:
- asked myself why: I am doing this because I want to feel more confident and lower my chance on diabetes and get more energy.
- I wrote down my goal: how much I want to lose and when 
- I started making a little schedule: when I can work out and how often
- Told my family and friends about it: this way they can help support me and can go work out together sometimes.

- I log all the food I eat and exercises I do in a special app to keep track of my progress and to see where I go wrong.

- If people tell my I don't have to lose weight I take it as a compliment and don't try to convince them on why I think I should get more in shape and healthier.

- set my reward: Didn't do this yet but i will come up with something, and being able to go to the beach a bit more confident will already be a great reward J

This was my look on change and I hope you guys like it and give me your opinion on how you look at change and/or what you might wanna change in your life.

Introduction

Hey guys
I'm Esther, a Dutch 21 year old girl from the Netherlands and really love taking pictures of all kinds of things.
My hobbies are: Drawing, taking pictures, baking all kinds of cakes and cupcakes and recently vlogging became part of this list as well.

So i recently started my own YouTube channel as a vlogger (ezziesvlogs), because I thought it would be a fun idea to start sharing my daily life with other people around the world and just as a fun memory to look back on later instead of a diary.
Because I am not able to film everything or talk about everything in my vlogs I came with the idea to start blogging again. This being a place where I can post pictures and things that happen in my daily life that I feel like sharing with you on here :) I have had some other blogs in the past which where mainly travel blogs for my family and friends to follow me while I was on the other side of the world. This was a really fun experience but I wasn't able to keep up writing something down everyday because I had school again so I didn't have much free time.
I am still in school however, I have extra time now to focus on other things as well because I have some delay in my studies for only a couple of classes.
All my recent blogs where in dutch but now I am trying to do this in English to hopefully improve it and also make some new friends from all over the world instead of only dutch people :P
